Ochredrakes are a curious species with a wide array of mutations and interesting behaviors. Not as intelligent as normal dragons, they only breed with other drake species. While they may not be bright, ochredrakes are flamboyant and fun-loving with amazing, chirping voices to sing with, and tame readily in the presence of a gentle hand.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

This dragon belongs to a family of nobles, and is released from her kennel only when the lords are going on the hunt. Then  her exceptional sense of smell and intelligence are put to use catching the finest animals to make roasts and rugs out of.

But mostly she is restrained to the kennel.

This is no sort of existence for a drake to live, and she has been in constant misery... until about two months ago, when a friendly rogue male showed up and introduced himself. The humans drove him away, but he's returned many times since, and the two have become close friends. He vows he'll set her free next full moon...

But the humans are talking about breeding her with a fellow captive drake, a cruel brute with a good nose, around the same time. This is a race her friend can't afford to lose...
