Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Aurym (or "Blondie", as some of the dragons refer to her) is rather pretty, even among Gold dragons. It sounds silly to say, but she really has no idea how beautiful she is. The Den's males go shy, fawn over her, bring her things, and show off in front of her. If anything, their weird behavior makes her actually worry about her appearance.<br/>Aurym is somehow hard to hate, as she is open and genuine and probably the friendliest of the Gold dragons of the Den. Very true to her given nickname, she can come across as being a little "blonde", as she can also be a bit neurotic, and is not especially intelligent, magical, or strong. Aurym also tends to be a bit nervous with tending the eggs and hatchlings and prefers to hand them off to the other females as soon as possible.
