Black Tea Dragons have small scent glands on the underside of their wing arm that release a pleasant scent. Though many creatures enjoy being in the vicinity of Black Tea dragons, the scent is intended to draw in swarms of butterflies. Though Black Tea dragons are full sized dragons, these insects are the mainstay of their diet.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sugar is the greatest friend of the first female Black Tea dragon in his cave, Joy. He feels he should protect her, even though that is the job of the guardian dragons. Joy always asks him to brew tea, and he does. Sugar likes brewing tea, a lot. He likes experimenting with new flavors. He is very creative, and loves using herbs to create tea from scratch, and having the magma dragons boil the water for him. But other than the tea, there's something about sugar- Even though Sugar has much time to spend with Joy, he still feels lonely. There's an emptiness inside of Sugar that he feels he may never fill for as long as he lives. But he isn't right about everything, especially his future...
