Aria dragons are a brightly-colored and sprightly breed, perhaps most adored for their lyric calls. Their song-like melodies fill the areas they inhabit; their coos resemble those of birds, only more elegant and refined. They have fairly strong magical capabilities, but tend to reserve these strengths for last-minute defense, choosing to live their lives in simple peace. Arias, sticking to the tropics, typically live quite far from human settlements, giving rise to the previously held belief that they had gone extinct.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The eldest of the Keeper's dragons, Gurle is a lascivious and yet prim creature. She loves to turn the heads of those about her and takes care to be the most sensuous creature around...and yet her behavior is never improper. She is every dragon's dream of the perfect dragoness and she knows it. Gurle has a soft spot for new eggs and hatchlings in the clan even if they are not her own. She enjoys watching the eggs and chasing bouncy hatchlings away from the lip of the cave.

She is the head of the Faye Clan and keeps that large group of pure-blood pinks running a smooth if luxurious and flirty ship. She has no preferred mate either in or out of her clan, preferring instead to love as her heart wills at the time. Many of her children have proven themselves true free spirits, preferring to live as Wild and out of the safety of a Cave.
