Deep Sea Dragons, as their name suggests, spend most of their time in the darkest depths of the sea. They have a bioluminescent dorsal spine that serves to attract prey and communicate with their own kind. As with many deep sea animals, they generally eat whatever they can manage to bait. They rarely leave the ocean floor, surfacing only during breeding season. When they do choose to travel to the shallower depths, they avoid bright lights and will only come up far away from shore.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Artora is the third dragon egg the nest collected with the intention of eventually producing a two-finned bluna. He is, like most deep sea dragons, an incredible underwater hunter with amazing speed and precision. Artora got his name from the egg code he recieved, however the name Atora being taken, he was named the next best. Artora also like most of his kin rarely sees other dragons and thus his social skills are rather lacking in experience; however, that is not to see he has no social skills. He has been known to socialize with the hatchlings and keep a careful watch over the eggs, with a never-resting eye. As a hatchling  Artora was required to consume glow-in-the-dark organisms to produce the glowing blue spots on his body, which are an absolute necessity for hunting. When watching the eggs Artora has learned the invaluable ability to turn off these lights, which allows for creatures that wander into the eggs no not see him until its too late.
