Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Diamonde has always been a bit of a flirt, much to The Ceylon's, his mate's, dismay. Because he has always been complimented on his lovely appearance, Diamonde's confidence has grown from normal to huge in only a few years, which has led to his bad flirting habit. He 'oh so dearly' (as he says it) wishes to stop it though, since he knows it deeply annoys his mate. Actually, the only reason why he is trying to break the habit is that his mate is one very feisty dragon who REALLY isn't afraid to get physical. Perhaps VERY deep in his heart though he has good intentions.
