Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

VerdensFred was rather difficult, at his naming ceremony. When the wolf-dragon came back from her long needed rest, she found the little red hatchling she had left in the able hands of GospelTruth fully grown and ready to be named along with his hatchling companion, DancingCloud. But when his fellow dragons tried to name him he was less eager. FireFlick, AmberEye, BlackScale and CurveWing were just a few of the many names called out to him. He rejected them all. At last, the dragons came to realize that this was not their usual fighting red dragon. And so they tried VerdensFred, an ancient word meaning world peace. From then on the red dragon was known as VerdensFred, and passes its time by thinking of poems, and scratching them onto the wall of his cave. He is also the thinker of the group along with CandleTail and loves reading and writing.
