Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Summer's Solstice is also in the season wars after hearing about how The Autumn's Equinox's rebellion had failed and how he had almost died he quickly went into hiding, taking his fellow Summer dragons with him. He had never been one to fight he usually let the Autumn dragons do it, for the Autumn dragons were bold, and would rather die then be controlled. But Summer dragons were calm and peaceful, but deep down Summer's Solstice was afraid that the red dragons would come after him for he knew that they were gaining power and allies. And that they would not let him still be in charge of his people. It was almost winter... when he would be his weakest he knew they would come for him then. He pitied himself... he pitied that he couldent be as strong as Autumn's Equinox, and at least try to defeat them. So he awaits till his time... his unpredictable future...
