Honey Drakes are small, energetic creatures that feed almost exclusively on flower nectar, honey, and insects. The myriad scales covering their bodies protect them from the stings of angry bees as they feed from hives, though these dexterous and wily drakes rarely need the protection. Though notably silent most of the time, Honey Drakes are capable of producing a purr-like thrum that seems to calm bees down, and their ravenous appetite for nectar results in a free meal for the hive, harvested from the drakes’ own scales.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

Casir'kohvva-irrak'tamivh-estr (known colloquially as Caskova, thanks to that mouthful of a name) is a relatively intelligent Honey Drake with an intense love for bees. Caskova has managed to domesticate a considerable amount of bees, and lives in the area of forest he's chosen to locate his bee farm in. While he does enjoy consuming the honey his bees produce, he's also found that selling it turns quite the profit, and has made quite the name for himself as a honey vendor. His name, which was given to him by Sitkel, translates roughly to 'beekeeper'.
