Frilled Dragons are smaller than most other breeds, but when threatened, they stretch out their wings and frills to appear larger. They generally do not like to fight and prefer hiding to confrontation. Frilled dragons live in small groups and often band together to scare off potential threats. Males also use their frills as a way to attract mates, with those displaying the “best” frills being more likely to breed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

King Frilled is a frilled dragon type. Ever since he was a little hatchling, he was destined to rule over the patch of frilled dragon territory. Thats why when he was born (in an egg, obviously), his mother abandoned him at her long-lost-brother's castle; her brother was a soon-to-become-prince who didn't have any offspring to give the heir to once he wanted to retire, so he adopted his sister's egg(but he didn't know it was his sister's egg)and called it King Frilled. He was named that because he became heir of the frilled dragon territory and once he was born he had larger-than-average sized frills.(His mom's brother always did wonder why there was a larger orange mark on the dark green egg than the other eggs that looked similar to it.)
