Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

When Ilmadil was young, she enjoyed listening to stories from an epic written by a faraway scribe named J.R.R. Tolkien while watching the starlight glimmer off of nearby ponds. Her grandparents, Smaug and Arkenstone, were both named after figures from the epic. Her name is a reference to the story and her only connection to her grandparents. The first part of the name, "Ilma", is another word for starlight in Quenya (an Elvish language). Ilmare is also the name of the minor goddess or Maiar that serves Varda, who crafted the stars. The word "dil" describes a lover or friend of something. The name translates to lover of starlight, an appropriate name for a Royal Blue like Ilmadil.
