Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Nikkal is the right hand to abbess Ka-Ata-Killa and deals with everything to do with other factions and groups. If the Brothers of The Blood Moon need to work out a common lunar festivity, she lays down the rules to avoid overly heated discussions about how to best serve the moon goddesses and their shared goal of peace among dragonkind. If the Moonsilver Artists' Association wants to use her order's Holy Grove for a concert, she works out the logistics. If Delirium's Academy wants to exchange teachers for a semester or two, she chooses the right candidates. She juggles all these tasks with ease and a level head.

Nikkal is also one of the few dragons who even know about the third lunar order under Golden Moon and accepts them as equals.
