Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Goldie Goldstein is starting to wonder if she is being raised in a baby sitter's union. It seems like there are just a few female dragons hanging out taking care of a bunch of whiny hatchlings and some needy eggs. Where are all the males...maybe the other two dragons, Alby Alberts and Wiggly Wiggles, are secretly Man-killer Amazon Dragons. Or, she has been raised in a cursed nest where no males are ever born because of some great fault of Queen Wiggly Wiggles. Another possibility is that Wiggly Wiggles and Alby Alberts are cannibals, who eat the dragon men after they are done with them. Whatever the reason, this is starting to seem like a really creepy place to live. Hopefully, this is really just a couple of babysitters who are also awaiting the presence of some guys and not anything more sinister.
