Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Nicknamed after his licking antics, You Taste Like Soot And Poo was known since he was a mere hatchling for licking other dragons. At only a few years of age, he walked up to Coheed, an elder Second Leader dragon of the cave and licked him. Upon doing so, the young hatchling looked at the elder dragon and promptly exclaimed, "You taste like... soot and poo!". The elder dragon was upset with his immaturity, and his punishment was to be shamed. Not in the normal way, to have the dragons ignore him, but for every dragon to look at him and exclaim that he tastes like soot and poo.
