Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Grilah has been very shy since she was a hatchling, and spends most of her time shrouded in fog at the back of the cave. She has never known who her true family is. She became attached to a young mint dragon named Mint Man. She looked after him like a big sister, teaching him the ways of the clan. As Mint Man grew older his adventurous spirit only grew stronger. One day he stood up to Vinedon, the tough boy of the clan, and was easily defeated. Seeing how the small mint dragon stood up to the large plant dragon inspired her, so she decided to stand up for Mint Man, and fight Vinedon. The battle was not that tough, seeing as Vinedon was mostly talk, not much action. after that day Grilah and Mint Man fell in love. They are now raising an egg of their own, and Grilah is happy to know that her child will get to know his or her parents, a privilege she never had.
