Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. You find it odd that the hatchling doesn’t move at all during the day, but at night its colors change and it is full of energy.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Solid Star was one of the second clan dragons to hatch, however their was food shortage during the time she was newly hatched. The elder feared she would be unable to survive as the clock ticked down to six hours left for her to mature,so she cast a spell on her to prevent her from dying however the spell caused her to stay a youth forever.
