Geode Dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sapphire Star is quite the lovely geode dragon. She spends hours practising reflecting light off her crystal parts. She could be somewhat vain, but the practice is important in her job of messaging the cave with the light flashing off her wings in the code the geodes have created. She has not, yet settled down to the search for a suitable mate, but will certainly seek one whose beauty equals her own. It is a good thing that the cave has a number of dragons who care for the eggs and hatchlings, because Sapphire Star is not expected to be a caring mother. She excuses her preoccupation by citing her duties, but the truth is she is very self-absorbed, using her duties to show her beauty to its best advantage.
