Cheese Dragons are not actually alive. They are enchanted items of food that act almost identically to dragons. They have no need to eat, but they must “live” in humid environments or they will dry out and harden.

Great Big Yellow Cowardy Custard is a scaredy dragon. It's afraid of everything. The dark. The spiders. The mice. Drying out. It tends to hide out in the darkest corners of the caves, whingeing about how dark it is and how many spiders there are and how nobody talks to it. It hasn't yet realized it's really hard to hold a conversation with a quivering blob of cheese.
