Few dragons embody serenity and potential quite as perfectly as Avatars of Creation. They dedicate their abilities to the arts of healing and growing, and their shimmering scales seem to glow in accordance with their mood. The tendrils of an Avatar of Creation grow slowly throughout its life, and the longer the tendrils grow, the more potent its abilities become.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As was the case with her mother, Lady never felt quite... settled. The world around her, while warm and comfortable, also seemed too still, too easy, too molded. Yet her wings yearned for something beyond her simple life, a calling that she was meant to do something great with her existence, although she had no idea as to what. Deciding that sitting around and thinking about it would never find her answer, she accordingly took off one day--and, as if by fate, was led to a most peculiar temple hidden far from sight. There she met Padlocked, a male dragon of her breed, gentle and kind--and chained. Not by physical forces, but by a dread task. He worked to ensure a demon sealed away in  millennia past could never surface again, although that would see his own life ended far too soon as the monster's power gnawed at his soul. Horrified, but at last understanding what she was meant to do, Lady is now determined to find a way to save him without sacrificing the world in the process...
