Waterhorse Dragons received their name due to their horse-like physique and endearing behavior. They are capable of surviving out of water, and when on land their skin secretes a gelatinous goo to retain moisture. However, their large paddle feet are better suited for swimming, and waterhorse dragons tend to move very awkwardly when on land. Waterhorses are very friendly dragons and enjoy playing with humans.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The full moon's reflection floats on the calm waters of the lake. A gentle mist has fallen, covering the land like a blanket. From the mist steps out a blueish-green dragon with a pair of small wings on her back. Horse-like, the dragon gracefully walks across the water, her feet trailing ripples behind her. Standing directly in the center of the moon's reflection, she begins to dance. Even with her large padded feet, on water she's graceful as water itself. With no music to guild her, she listens to the moon's song, twisting and jumping in a complicated sequence. Every night on the full moon, RippleMoon will come out and dance to the song of the night. On some nights, she is joined with others of her kind, each dancing to their beat. With the mist surrounding her and the fireflies swirling about her, she looks unreal, like a vision.
