Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Takarame is a very mischievous dragon. She is always full of energy, her bright green eyes glowing when thinking up pranks to play on her fellow dragons. One time, her prank had gone wrong, and a hatchling ended up falling off a cliff. Luckily, Takarame managed to catch the hatchling before it hit the bottom. If it had been any other dragon, he or she would have stopped playing pranks altogether. But not Takarame; she took more time planning the pranks, making them somewhat 'safer' than before. After all, she doesn't mean any harm, just some fun for her and other dragons. When not planning or playing out pranks, she is out in the forest, chasing every creature alive in sight. Her favourite food is crow; she thinks that the crows' black, shiny feathers will make her equally black scales shinier.
