Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

While rumors about the two Shadow Walkers were flying around the clan, Ivy had a dilemma herself. As the only Ribbon Dancer among the dragons, she was often questioned by young hatchlings about unimportant things. Not to mention that her owner can't find a suitable mate for her, causing Ivy to throw parties from dawn till dusk just to try and impress the other dragons. Her owner threatens to release her every time she throws one, but Ivy knows she won't as long as "The Elusive Shadow" doesn't go crazy drinking too much 'punch'. Spreading cheer even when not in the Christmas season, Ivy is regarded by most hatchlings as a sort of mother to them even if she does eavesdrop on private conversations.
