Hellfire Wyverns are so named for their foul tempers and fiery visages. Their social structure places all females above all males, due to superior physical characteristics and violent dispositions. Forced subservience of the males causes them to become vicious, petty, antisocial, and passive-aggressive compared to the aggressive and social females. However, orphaned hatchlings raised by foster parents of another species can develop surprisingly even tempers and mellow dispositions, proving that their defining unpleasant nature is, in fact, a learned behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

De Blazer is a bad-tempered dragon who lives deep within the magma chambers of the cave he and his herd lives in. With a body that can't be burned, he swims through the magma joyfully, and is only happy when no one else is around--or when he simply doesn't know they're around. The magma chambers are large, and he rather enjoys swimming through the channels that weave throughout the Earth's crust. There's one magma chamber that is his favorite, where in one spot it is deep, and in other places it is shallow, a pool of lava in a cave. The cave walls formed in great places to rest, sleep, and hang out, and is only accessible through a channel of lava, so only he can enter it. Other dragons nickname him "hothead" or names of the like because he is so short-tempered, and rarely comes to the surface and outside.
