Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Daydream Wizard is exactly what his name suggests. With the incapability to have dreams himself, he follows those who have the most vibrant dreams to share them. When he is feeling mischievous, he will hide in the clouds above campers, a village, or a kingdom, then he will slowly descend under the nighttime stars when all are asleep before casting about dreams of his own or mingling with some pre-made dreams the humans are already having. Though--something he rather enjoys doing above all else--he will wait above a path for travelers to pass by below, then he will cast about his daydreams, putting the humans in eerie trances. He laughs at the reactions that his victims' friends make, when they are confused at the other human's strange behavior as he is swept away in a daydream.
