Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Asdian grew up in the Draconian Empire, a massive expanse of land ruled by a unified nation of dragons by one elected leader. The nation is held together by a pact that runs deep into the land and veins of the earth. Asdian is aggressive and fearless by nature, but also rash and arrogant. He has a history of taking on elders that mocked him, and has been a suspect in an unsolved murder.

Asdian takes his occupation, leader of the Draconian Empire, with utmost seriousness. He holds a top rank in the Dragon Supreme Court and is known for his "heart-of-a-lion" approach at life. He has no respect for enemies of the nation and delvers into the Black Arts, but he holds his ultimate rivalry with Felvaar, a Black Arts dragon whom he shares residence with.
