Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Raging Flower is a spring dragon, and he is proud of it. Some of the male hatchlings laugh at him because he loves playing in the flower fields all the time. He plays a lot with Fluffy May since she is almost always in the fields as much as him. He likes her a lot, and thinks he might have a mini crush on her. Raging Flower has always wondered why he is called Raging Flower since he is very hard to enrage. His mom tells him that when he was little he use to always be raging about something, but he doesn't remember a time like that.
