Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Ever since it hatched, it has been hiding among the tree leaves.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

AoEgg the Eggwatcher is a neotropical dragon. He is very small and loves to hang around his clan's nursery, tending to eggs and playing with the young hatchlings. Though he is one himself, they still respect him and treat him like a teacher or a guardian, even if he is smaller than their size. AoEgg the Eggwatcher, or just AoEgg to his friends, used to love to care for eggs and protect the hatchlings. When he was told that he would grow up into an adult and must leave the nursery, he went to Merlin's Enlightment, a magi dragon, and asked to be frozen. Though the magi dragon tried to convince him, AoEgg's decision remained firm, and since then he has stopped growing. From that day on, AoEgg has made it his job to make sure the nursery is secure and free of dangers. He also despises sharp objects and constantly removes them from the nest and bedding for the hatchlings, though others have to constantly remind him to stop taking out all the pine needles from the camp!
