Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Valerian Breath was, for his keeper anyway, a task to raise. Primarily due to his aura that his Keeper often found the cause of a lost thought, or hastened passing of time. Though his keeper does often thank him for newfound concentration skills they have developed.

This Daydream is fairly calm, loving to enter his own little worlds as often as possible. He'd often sketch them out as a hatchling, hoping to describe these things to his peers. Unfortunately, Valerian's art skills are lacking. When it came to telling stories however, his abilities seemed unmatched.

Though, worthy of a note, many of Valerian's stories involve fiends of the Spotted Greenwing breed. Not of any biased towards the breed as a whole, but to one specific dragon known as Viperback. This Greenwing would somehow always manage to rip him away from his drifting thoughts and light naps.
