Nhiostrife Wyverns are one of the few known breeds of wyvern with more than one set of wings. Because of their four wings, Nhiostrifes are very nimble in the air and control their movements with ease. When it’s mating season, males put on a very beautiful and unique air dance in an attempt to charm a female. The amount of stripes on their wings vary, with more stripes being more attractive, although most have only two to four. Their general attitude is very passive and curious—they only fight if they or their families are in danger.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Athair was one of the first Nhiostrifes to settle in Alba. Mated for life with Mathair an Adhair, his life revolves around her. She was the first thing he saw when emerging from his egg, being raised in the same clutch of eggs, and he has followed her in her travels ever since. Now they have settled in a small cave high up on the Highlands, the perfect place to raise their offspring.

Having poor eyesight, he relies all the more on his other senses. Athair loves the smell of pine trees and of a rain storm approaching, the sound of the wind swirling around the craggy mountain tops or the feeling of air pressure against his skin in a steep dive. Air is his element and there is nothing he loves more, except joining his beloved Mathair in a graceful dance on the winds.
