Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

The lost wailing of a mother's child during the harshest winter known to mankind brings Solstice dragons, mighty and elegant, pounding through the skies as guardians of the clouds.

However, far away from her kin's activities, lies a dragon with an orb barely flickering. Born with not the famous holy light that marked a Solstice dragon's importance, Faded Orbit spun slowly like a marionette dancing on ill-fitting strings. Addressed as useless, kicked from home and stripped of name, she wanders the frosts howling for better days to come. The ghost dragon of the mountains, there are myths that in the darkest times, a dragon with a small flame of light would appear, a tiny saviour when the night is dark.

No more than a glimmer of hope not possible, Orbit does not have the powers of her friends. Being unable to lift despair and suffering from the world, instead her small light brings solace, memories of a night spent sleeping beneath a mantle of stars.
