Waterhorse Dragons received their name due to their horse-like physique and endearing behavior. They are capable of surviving out of water, and when on land their skin secretes a gelatinous goo to retain moisture. However, their large paddle feet are better suited for swimming, and waterhorse dragons tend to move very awkwardly when on land. Waterhorses are very friendly dragons and enjoy playing with humans.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Keyalee is a Waterhorse dragon. Happy and graceful as a hatchling, the sleek blue- coated youngling was adored by almost everyone in her family, even the cold hearted Winter FrostFlyer found it difficult to resist her charm. She tried to make herself useful around the Caves, but found that slippery goo secreted by her skin made it very difficult for her to hold onto things. Neither could anyone find it in their hearts to scold her for dropping fragile objects, as they knew that she had not done it intentionally and was doing her best, and moreover, was so unhappy at what she had done, that everyone had to come over and console her. Finally, the sensible Camreth, the Earth dragon, found a solution. Now, above water, she wears specially made rubber gloves which have been harnessed to her body to prevent them from slipping off, allowing her to carry around whatever she pleases.
