Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Born to a Blusang Lindwurm and carried around coasts as a hatchling and egg, Andrer the Kindly Splasher is never seen straying far from the sea. Because of his lack of camouflage in his habitat, he is easily noticed by humans; however, this has made him a popular attraction rather than a target for poachers. Children from all over Galsreim travel to his 'golden coast' in order to pet and play with Andrer, who is very happy to oblige them on these requests. Rarely is he ever seen not gently splashing some small child, unless it happens to be mating season.
