Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Queen Helba thrived on a playful sort of chaos, and this was inherent in every aspect of her life, from the labyrinthine structure of her castle to the amusement she obtains from convincing others she is male. Yet her penchant for mayhem was always deeply integrated with her love for her subjects. Taking in those the rest of the world cast away--illegitimate children and exiled traitors, the presumed cursed and mentally unstable--she offered new life to these children of the dark, enforcing no law save that of not doing evil unto others. Still, such embracing of such rogues often put her at odds with the surrounding countries, especially that of Apeiron, King of Light--although she only smiled and mocked when he ridiculed the "filth" of her existence. Yet times are changing, and old foes may make new allies. A creation of dark magic known as the "Abominable Wave" has put both countries in danger--and combining their strengths, different though they are, may be the only way to survive.
