White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Alaafia of Fallensnow is a psychiatrist of sorts. She takes care of the majority of the traumatized, delusional or chronically insane dragons that have come willingly (or were dragged) to the Fallensnow for help. Over the years she's seen a variety of cases, ranging from a hatchling who was scarred for life by scary bedtime stories, to a female that constantly insisted she was from over 9000 years in the future, to Thank Goodness I'm Not Rabid's constant attempts to get her fellow Rabid Ones to act sanely. No matter how difficult their situation, Alaafia deals with each patient tenderly and compassionately, finding ways to sympathize with helpless victims and deranged monsters alike. While she is not always successful, some of her patients have made full (or close-to-full) recoveries, and they are always grateful for her help.
