Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has a pink cloud that follows it everywhere. You seem to be having more difficulty concentrating since it arrived.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Since she was born, her parents knew there was something wrong with her. She never gave the other dragons dreams while they slept, instead, she would constantly fill their heads with horrendous nightmares. She was frozen before she could mature so as she wouldn't be able to harm the other dragons, but despite her prematurity, she lived up to her name and continued to defile the dragons' sleep with her terrifying visions. It didn't take long for her father to banish her from her home leaving her to fend for herself.

    Although she has no other friends nor family to speak of, she continues to explore, filling every dragon she comes across with nightmares.
