Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Coastal Waverunners spend most of their time skimming the waves along the coast, snatching up their prey from the shallow waters. They have developed markings along the leading edges of their body that help disguise them as breaking waves. When they are not hunting, they enjoy playing among sand-dunes and shallow tide-pools. These dragons live in small but noisy rookeries. Some stories say Waverunners can fly for days on end without landing.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
First Sailor Loran flies daily to the nearby ocean to gather fish for the hatchlings. Since fish is more tender and flaky than venison- the most common prey in the Court's territory- it is gentler on the developing jaws and stomachs of young dragons. Now and again, he brings red meat with him to a pre-arranged meeting with a deep sea dragon willing to trade fish from the darkest, coldest depths of the sea. Since both consider the other's offerings to be delicacies worth much more than the mundane fare they give in exchange, both parties benefit immensely from the bargain. Unfortunately, there is no way to be sure when or where a deep sea dragon might be found, so these meetings are few and far between. Loran regularly requests that his monarchs find a deep sea dragon egg, so that a regular trading schedule might be established.
