Speckle-Throated Dragons are an active, playful breed. They are easily excited and rarely remain still, spending much of their time in the air. Living in groups of up to sixty dragons, they nest in open plains and at the bases of mountains. Their speckled throats are their most distinctive feature, as well as the loud, echoing call they produce to communicate with one another. Male Speckle-Throats have a small crest on top of their heads, which they can flush with blood to intimidate enemies and attract mates.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Mavef has always believed that whatever Roaring Lion Productions can do, Future Era Productions can do ten times as well. Roaring Lion Productions made short serials about heroic dragons, but his theatrical group would make whole series of plays about them. The first few were disasters, disowned even by the actors who performed in them, but recently he's found success with the Spectaculars.
Sylou plays Arachnigon, who was gifted with spider powers after being bitten by a cursed spider. Now, he can climb up walls, hang from cave ceilings, and shoot spider webs at criminals. Figuring out how to make Arachnigon's powers look believable on-stage took hours of work by several illusionists, and even as late as dress rehearsals, Arachnigon was as likely to snare a teammate with a web as a foe. Though quite agile, Sylou still worries that his claws will slip out of a handhold at a crucial moment (though he does admit that landing on a villain would be a handy way of defeating them).
