Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It seems to enjoy sunbathing.

And look! It has grown much bigger! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Moss is a very peculiar hatchling. She is swift and quiet in her jogs, often going unnoticed as she slips through her keeper's den. Though the size of a buck, she still tries to fit into small spaces and would rather risk climbing up her keeper's favorite willow to eat the leaves rather than just bask like her kin, Forest. Because of this, she often drives the other dragons crazy, mostly when she tries to sneak into Beelzebub's caves and hide under one of their wings. Overall, she's not the sweetest but still a vital dragon in the glen.
