Green Dragons are also sometimes called “earth” dragons. They usually live deep within caves, and have power over the earth. They are capable of launching boulders at high speeds, and can cause earthquakes by slamming down onto the ground.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As a young hatchling, Pebbles Mumblemouth used to eat the pebbles in the cave and refused to spit them out. She claims it helped to grind her food, though her teeth are perfectly capable of that. She liked the feel of them in her mouth, but it made it difficult for her to utter a sound without sounding like a drowning rat. This is how she got her name. She still likes to chew on pebbles for dessert.
