Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

When this dragon was born, her parents gave her the typical spiel about how seasonal dragons adapt to the season they were born in, why her parents look different from her, how she's not proof that mommy was getting frisky with that ice dragon, yadda yadda yadda. Which was great, and all, but she wanted to know MORE, and so she asked what else her breed did, how they lived, how the acted, how they fit within the world. To which her parents just gave her blank stares, scratched their scaly chins, and admitted they had no answer.

The baby winter accepted that... for a time. But as she grew, and continued to receive no answer but "seasonal dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born," she began to feel as if someone had cheated her out of her cultural and ecological history. Now a determined conspiracy theorist, she's certain seasonals are actually the most powerful, important creatures out there, and someone doesn't want them to know about it...
