Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

SeekingSummer is a Seasonal Dragon hatchling who loves the heat. He likes to find the hottest, sunniest, and brightest place and sunbathe there. He loves the hot days where all other dragons hide in the shade and pant. SeekingSummer is nice and polite and a very good listener. He isn't always welcome when he's celebrating the heat while everyone else is suffering, but usually any dragon is happy to hang out with him.
