Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

His name means "obedient one" in Japanese. He was raised by Kentaro and Kiyomi, and was always the sweetest little boy. He truly is obedient, and loves to please everyone. That's how he met Junko; he was running an errand for his brother Onkei, when he happened across Junko who was gathering hazelnuts. She was the most beautiful dragon that he'd ever laid eyes on, and he got a little sidetracked. He still finished the errand, but not before he asked her out on a date. They had a wonderful night out by the lake, which led to many more wonderful dates, and eventually he gathered the courage to ask her to be his mate. She agreed with all her heart, and they've been together, happily in love, ever since.
