Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Inviernai takes her species quite seriously. As a winter dragon, she lives true to an unwritten set of rules she had dreamed up as a hatchling. She lives only in places where the season of winter currently reigns. Inviernai even named herself after winter- 'invierno' means 'winter' in Spanish, and since Inviernai thought that was a bit too masculine for her tastes, she just switched it around to her liking.

Inviernai's Code, or the list of rules she follows, can be shortened down and translated into this: "Be winter, feel winter, make winter. Be harsh wind that whips icy crystals across the icy fields. Be the whisper of swirling flurries and the gentleness of falling snow. Be the bareness of the forest without leaves and the plains without grass. Be the season of stark contrast, truth, and rest. Live in the spirit of winter, be the spirit of winter. To these rules hold true, and many good things will come to you."
