Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Froze out of crulness, little Hot Day At The Beach was taken from his mother because of her deathly ways and taken here to the Gentle Being Clan were he has a buddy that too was taken from his mother but not for her ways... Because of her new mate, Scar. Both of the frozen hatchlings were adopted by the herds alfa family and are both egg checkers and they love to watch for any new cracks in the eggs. Hot Day loves his adoptive dad and mom and wishes he would have had these as his realy mom and dad.
