Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It seems allergic to something, and every time it sneezes sparks shoot from its nose and mouth.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

While most dragons like to collect gold and jewels, Lu mai prefers to collect keys.  He likes the intricate designs with which they are decorated, and is fascinated at how each one is unique and fits into a different lock.  He goes out with his best friend, Oni giri, to sneak around villages and steal people's keys.  Many a door has had to remain locked (or unlocked, as the case may be) as a result of Lu mai's escapades.
