Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Starsparks is a solitary dragon. She would love nothing more than to sit quietly by a stream, gazing up at the night sky. Sometimes she wonders if she could fly high enough to join the stars, and she's tried, but once she flies so far up, she realizes that if she doesn't start to fly down, she'll tire out and fall to her death. So every dusk, she flies as far as she can before she must begin her descent, and every day she gets a little bit higher.

Maybe someday she will reach the stars.

But until then, she is happy to dream, and sit by her favorite stream and watch the stars twinkle.
