Frilled Dragons are smaller than most other breeds, but when threatened, they stretch out their wings and frills to appear larger. They generally do not like to fight and prefer hiding to confrontation. Frilled dragons live in small groups and often band together to scare off potential threats. Males also use their frills as a way to attract mates, with those displaying the “best” frills being more likely to breed.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Solitary until the mating season, LeafGleam's breed will gathering in flocks to mate. The males group together on the ground while the females perch on the tree branches. The dragon with the brightest colors and largest size will win a mate. LeafGleam shakes out his frills and opens his jaw wide, revealing rows of sharp teeth. He spreads out his wings to its maximum wingspand of over 12 feet. His eyes train on a beautiful female a few trees away. She doesn't seem to notice him, for her attention on another male. Feeling threatened by the competition, LeafGleam roars at the male who caught the female's attention. LeafGleam rakes his claws down the male's back, spilling blood. With a roar of pain, the male slinks off somewhere else. The female stares at LeafGleam with awe and glides down from her branch to land next to LeafGleam. She nuzzles his neck, giving him the signal that she has chosen him as a mate. LeafGleam stands up straighter, puffing his chest out with pride.
