Few dragons embody serenity and potential quite as perfectly as Avatars of Creation. They dedicate their abilities to the arts of healing and growing, and their shimmering scales seem to glow in accordance with their mood. The tendrils of an Avatar of Creation grow slowly throughout its life, and the longer the tendrils grow, the more potent its abilities become.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A particularly compassionate and sensitive individual, Oeru has a certain gift with hatchlings, particularly those who are newly-hatched from their eggs. Though he can get a little overprotective at times, he's fairly capable at keeping an eye on the hatchlings to make sure they don't hurt themselves or eat things that should not be eaten. A lot of his older siblings often ask him to hatchling-sit, but in his spare time, Oeru experiments with different blends of soft foods that can be used by the family to feed the younger growing dragons. He allegedly has a special cache for sweets that he gives out to hatchlings who finish all their dinner.
