Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Suryajaan is a Sunsong Amphiptere. His egg was noticed by his future owner's dragon family on the verge of hatching, in a pile of loot belonging to a very mad, very old and very, very large Red dragon, who insisted that the egg was a piece of gold. The other dragons could not convince her otherwise, and, out of simple perverseness, she sat on the egg. Or was about to when the little hatchling emerged. Horrified at the sight of the enormous rear end descending on him, the hatchling flung himself to one side, into the shadows, and promptly vanished. The incensed Red pursued him. The other dragons could only watch in fascination as the situation degenerated into what could only be called a disturbing game of 'Whack the Mole', with the hatchling appearing and disappearing and the Red leaping at him. Eventually the Red smashed into a wall the hatchling ran up to. The other dragons took the little one home, where he grew up into a mischief maker who loves to confuse other dragons.
