Golden Wyverns are known for their beautiful metallic scales and rumored magical abilities. Living high in the mountains, these dragons do not believe in killing for sport or pleasure. They will hunt only when hungry and defend themselves when provoked, but will avoid killing to the best of their abilities. Golden Wyverns often mingle with other dragons of similar color and take pride in their shimmering hide.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Golden Glister, also known as Goldy, was brought up by a small group of Royal Crimsons. The Crimsons raised her as they would their own young. That is, they taught her that she was entitled to the world and that she was better than any other "inferior" dragon. She kept this haughty state of mind for quite awhile, being a complete jerk to everyone. Then along came Precious Purity, another Golden Wyvern. But he wasn't regal or snooty like her. No, Precious was goofy, boisterous, and even vulgar at times. But Goldy fell in love with him nonetheless. She began to realize how flawed her previous mentality was, and started to be more humble and down to earth. Now she is almost as boisterous as Precious, but if one gets her angry, she will unleash her royal wrath!
